Do I really need gutters on the Gulf Coast?
Short answer: yep. Mobile averages ~66” of rain a year—well above the U.S. average—so managing roof runoff protects your foundation, landscaping, and siding.
What size gutters do you recommend—5”, 6”, or 7”?
Most homes here do best with 6” K-style plus 3×4” downspouts because they handle our sudden, heavy downpours better than 5”. (6” systems move ~40–50% more water than 5”.) We’ll recommend a 6" or 7" based on the size, slope, and run lengths of your roof.
What about downspouts—2×3” vs 3×4” vs 4x5"?
Bigger is better in storm country. A 3×4” rectangular downspout can serve roughly ~1,200 sq ft of roof area per 1” of hourly rainfall vs ~600 sq ft for 2×3”. A 4×5” downspout increases that capacity even further — handling closer to ~1,800 sq ft per 1” of hourly rainfall. Translation: fewer overflows and more peace of mind during Gulf Coast downpours.
How much do seamless gutters cost?
Budgets vary with footage, material, number of stories, and add-ons (gutter guards, extra downspouts). Nationally, installs often land around $9–$19 per foot depending on material and finish, with typical full-home totals from ~$3,000–$7,500+. We’ll measure and give a firm, no-hassle, guaranteed quote.
How fast is the install?
Most homes wrap in a single day; larger/complex roofs can run 2–3 days. We’ll give you a clear schedule at estimate time.
What’s the difference between sectional and seamless?
Seamless aluminum is rolled on-site to your exact lengths, which means far fewer seams (aka fewer leak points) and a cleaner look. Sectional is cheaper DIY but has more joints to maintain.
